Commentator Recap:
Los Angeles – California
It was quite the battle between the Emerald Guardian and the Iron Avenger this week, but an unexpected flaw led to a victory in the flaw holder’s favor. Don’t quite follow? Well, We’re still trying to figure it out as well.
1:00 P.M. – The fight began in the city Streets of L.A. Green Lantern pulled out the heavy hitting material quick and was able to create a large mallet from his power ring and slam it down towards Mr. Stark and his Iron Armor. Strangely enough, Iron Man looked directly up as the mallet came down on him. Upon coming into contact with his face, the gigantic mallet shattered into small shards of energy before evaporating into thin air.
1:12 P.M. – Generic repulsor rays and green energy beams where hurled at each other for several moments. Each leading only to momentary knock downs and the outages of a few power lines.
1:21 P.M. – After both decided the shoot out was leading nowhere, Green Lantern created a large arm that reached out and grabbed Iron Man by his waist. He slammed into the concrete road several times and then between two brick buildings. Increasingly frustrated with the damage to the suit and the incapacity he was faced with, Stark turned on the power and his heels lit up with repulsor energy to blast him out of the hold and into the sky. Green Lantern headed in hot pursuit.
1:37: P.M. – Mid air battles ensued. Stark created to what appeared to be an energy shield around his armor by manipulating iron molecules in the area around him. Green lantern countered with a giant wrench that held a vice around the shield and continually tightened. The shield finally broke, leaving Stark to flee once again.
1:49: P.M. – After several minutes of searching for a missing Iron Man, we were finally able to find him… in a bar with a glass of alcohol. When asked what he was doing, Mr. Stark replied that it was,
“Tea Time. And I never miss tea time… when the tea is Gold Rum.”
1:53 P.M. – Green Lantern was able to deduce Stark’s whereabouts from our crew’s truck parked outside. Lantern demanded that Stark return to the battle. Stark obliged, rum still in hand.
1:55 P.M. – The two approached each other, face to face. Stark went to throw a punch against the Lantern but the green glow around him led to the Emerald Guardian to nothing more than a sigh of disappointment. Not even a flinch.
Lantern: You’re a drunk Tony. Trust me, I used to be one. I know it when I see it.
Lantern then proceeded to spit in Stark’s rum.
Stark looked very disappointed.
Stark: Well since you’ve marked your territory have the rest.
Stark threw the golden liquid straight into the face of the Green Lantern. Somehow, it made it through the green glow and right into Lantern’s eyes.
1:58 P.M. - Stark gave a quick look of intrigue at the Lantern before lowering his helmet back over his face, grabbing his opponent’s shoulders and delivering a deafening head butt.
Lantern was knocked out for 3+ minutes after the blow.
DECISION: IRON MAN
Superhero Battle Rules:
One hour time limit.
Rendering opponent immobile for longer than 3 minutes constitutes a win.
Players may forfeit at any time by discarding their weapons or removing their masks.
