I love a man in glasses. It’s always such a revelation Such a surprise To take those glasses off him and to really See his eyes. Yours are so much bigger than I had thought, Blind and blue and huge, As if the lenses of your glasses Were bulletproof-glass That protected you from the hostile world. Without them You are vulnerable, Open to mocking you may not ever see. So I understand, love, That honour, That you feel safe with me
