Harold Ramis - Born in Illinois in 1944, Ramis began writing plays in college, and soon became involved with Second City and National Lampoon. Ramis broke into film writing 1978’s Animal House, which was a huge commercial hit. This was followed by several successive comedic hits which he both wrote and directed, including Caddyshack and Groundhog Day. Consistently reaffirming his comedic talents and successes, Harold has continually written, directed and also starred in a varied canon of comedy films; his latest project is a redo of his own original classic, Meatballs.
