George Miller: Born in Australia in 1945, Miller studied in both medicine and film. After completing his residency, he pursued a film career in writing and directing. 1979’s Mad Max, his second feature in both roles, gained Miller wide recognition; he went on to pen and helm its two sequels. Not limited by gritty fare, George is also successful in the family genre, as the auteur behind the classic Babe, and winning a Best Animated Feature Oscar for 2006’s Happy Feet.
