Federico Fellini was born in Italy in 1920, Fellini was drawn to art at an early age, and found his pathway into film via screenwriting. His early directorial forays were not met with success, but Fellini then won the Best Foreign Film Oscar for 1957’s Nights of Cabiria, and would carry critical cache henceforth. 1960’s La Dolce Vita was a box office success, and set the tone for Federico’s enduring trademarks of abstract and risque material. Federico Fellini died in 1993.
