I was born in Staffordshire, UK in 1986. I have always loved movies; I spent my childhood watching The Lost Boys, Young Guns and The Three Musketeers on repeat because one of my sisters had a crush on Kiefer Sutherland and Monty Python films because my other sister loves classic comedy. When asked to provide a word which best described myself for the high school yearbook, I chose film-buff.
I went to the University of Wolverhampton in 2005 to do a Film Studies course. I thoroughly enjoyed my degree and gained a BA (Hons) 2:1. I developed researching and analytical skills and now find myself looking at films differently. I can even sit through a terrible film, amusing myself by counting the cuts, admiring the wipes used, listening out for stock sounds or looking at the set design.
I have recently moved to Cambridgeshire where I review films in my spare time.
I like comic book movies (they were the topic of my third year dissertation), thrillers and sci-fi films.
My favourite actors include Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp.
My favourite directors include Bryan Singer, Christopher Nolan and Tim Burton.
