Edgar George is a dynamic and vibrant actor. He has appeared on a variety of performing mediums including film, TV, live theatre, improvisational theatre, sketch comedy and stand-up comedy. A former computer programmer/analyst turned actor, Edgar found his bliss in life through acting. He believes each role offers new performance challenges as well as insights of the human condition. He has worked with such personalities as Steven Segal, Paul Gross, Cynthia Dale, Mark Harmon, and Jane Seymour. His media credits include Queer as Folks, Brian’s Song, Soul Food, and Due South.
When not performing in front of the camera, Edgar can be found delighting audiences with his brand of stand-up comedy. Audiences are told to leave the botox at home because laugh lines are inevitable. He is the only male sibling in a family of 10 children. Edgar is proud to be a part of Canadian history as the first black male of ‘non-celebrity status’ to perform solo in a Canadian national commercial.
