Dyana Goldman recently moved to Los Angeles after residing in New York City for two years, where she worked at a pharmaceutical advertising agency.
Prior to this, she attended The George Washington University, in which she graduated Summa Cum Laude, with honors in her major for Outstanding Marketing Student of the Year. Originally from Livingston, New Jersey, Dyana grew up as the oldest of two, to parents Marc and Ellen Goldman.
Her aptitude for writing was recognized at a young age, when she was awarded the winner of the DARE Essay contest in 1995. That same year she received the Camp Summit “funniest female” award. A student of comedy, she spent countless hours with her father watching the works of those such as Woody Allen and Mel Brooks. Her television experience began in high school, where she took three years of television production and was the host of her town’s local morning show, “AM Wired.”
She also was editor of her high school yearbook and provided content for several of the pages. Dyana was a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi and was social chair and head of sisterhood during her time there. She held several marketing related internships throughout her college years. While working at Euro RSCG Life, Dyana was Executive Assistant to the President of a newly formed digital agency.
She participated in meetings with high-level executives, and presented her research findings. She was promoted to the role of Account Coordinator and worked on big name brands in the diabetes, aesthetics, and neurological markets. Dyana is currently enrolled in the UCLA Extensions Writers’ Program. In New York, Dyana took two courses in television writing at The People’s Improv Theatre and Gotham Writers’ Workshop. She hopes to pursue a career in television writing and one day become a showrunner for a television series that brings laughter into the homes of viewers everywhere.
When she is not writing her specs scripts, she is entertaining friends on her blog, taking spin class at the gym, or catching up with friends and family over the phone.
