Drew Potter Bio

Drew Potter has directed over 30 hours of prime time television including: Mutant X, Adventure Inc., Andromeda, Zoe Busick: Wild Card, and Falcon Beach. In the spring of 2007 he will be starting work on the new sci-fi series, Ice Planet, starring Michael Ironside, and currently has one TV series and dramatic feature in development.

Drew graduated with honors from the Film and Television Program at Humber College in Toronto in 1984, and was awarded the Edward E. Rollins Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Creative Cinematography Program.

After college, Drew worked in a post-production facility for three years, creating titles and animated sequences for indie films and commercials. He then made the leap into dramatic production, working as a camera assistant and focus puller, and rose through the ranks to camera operator over a fifteen-year period on hundreds of hours of episodic television.

During his third season on Gene Roddenberry’s Earth: Final Conflict, Drew was offered the privilege to direct an episode and his directing career then began. His vast experiences in the industry make him an ideal reader for the WILDsound Screenplay Festival.
