“Don’t get on your high horse”
I said,
“Don’t get on your high horse with me.”
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
Now in a sweet patronizing voice I cry,
‘I told you so.”
“Don’t get on your high horse”
All the kings’ men and all the king’s horses
couldn’t put you together.
“It’s not worth the risk”
There will be a public display,
You will be put to shame.
“Don’t get on your high horse”
Stay on the ground for this is where you belong,
Remember your place,
Nothing can go wrong.
“Don’t get on your high horse.”
If you ride the high horse,
“Who am I?”
My power has gone.
Someone else will sing the song.
“Don’t get on your high horse”
I said,
“Don’t get on your high horse.”
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Please fall.
