Don Bapst (donbapst.com) is a filmmaker, novelist, and playwright. Originally from Chicago, he has lived in Paris, New York, San Francisco, London, Ouagadougou, and Montreal. He currently resides in Toronto where he has obtained permanent Canadian residency. A frequent contributor to The Rough Guides and Blue Magazine, he has also been published in numerous literary journals including Exquisite Corpse and the Evergreen Chronicles. Bapst's multi-media solo performances have been staged in New York, San Francisco, Montreal, and Chicago, and his four full length plays have each been staged in readings. His play, "The Horror," a tribute to the sub-genres of horror emerging from the Grand-Guignol (the French theatre of terror) was produced in Chicago, and his short films have been screened in Chicago and Montreal as well as the Short Film Corner at Cannes.
