REVIEW:

The weight of the world falls heavily upon our shoulders, but we still try to stand. But if we find cloud nine, those struggles will melt away, and life would become a dream. And no more would we have to worry or fear or stress, but as we cling to bliss, do we realize that we have begun to disappear? And darkness coils around innocence, and venom digs into veins. And as we dream, our life slips away.

The rains of tragedy fell heavily against hard streets. Home was only a few feet away, but death was already there. And the darkness laughed, another life claimed, and coldness drowned a heart screaming within. And tears fell against stone as one man carried his brother in his arms, but he was already gone.

If we go back in time, the world falls away, revealing a lost century, but some things would never change. The city streets remained wild, and lines were drawn, marking different territories. And if the lines were crossed would gangs go to war, and innocent lives fell into the crossfire. But once upon a time did some gangs keep the peace, and drugs did not reign over every corner of the street.

It was the 1950’s. It would be one of the hottest summers for the city, and as the heat rises, a killer goes free. And pressure builds as revenge is sought, and the streets begin to boil, spilling violence, and lives fall across the line. Badges of black and blue decorate those at battle, but the war was far from over. And as two men collide, the world begins to change.

The ghost of his brother continued to haunt him, and the man responsible for his death was set free. And he would be coming to find the one responsible for putting him behind bars. He would be coming for Leon, and nothing would stop him from having his revenge. And the streets would run red under his knife.

War was coming, and no lines would be drawn in the sand, no truce and no surrender. But as the time for confrontation nears does Leon find his other brother crossing the lines for a love that lies deep within enemy territory, and words of warning tell him to not fight, to not spill blood. But the knife is razor sharp with vengeance, and the lives of those he loved must be avenged. And a promise for no drugs to be allowed haven in the neighborhood must be kept, but would the price that has to be paid cost him his life?

Rivers of red have flooded city streets, and gangs clashed together time and time again. Neighborhoods fell into division, and lines were drawn. But lines would always be crossed, and war would follow. And ink spills out across history, writing these stories and creating movies such as Gangs of New York, The Outsiders, and Deuces Wild, and the story still continues. And the streets of New York remain wild.

And as we step into a lost century are we swept up into the life of one man, who held the world in his hands, but as a killer is set free, the streets begin to break. And the strings of drama are pulled tight by a storyline carried across the waves of conflict and suspense, and love blurs the lines that should not be crossed. And loyalty stands strong, unbroken, and characters are defined by the heart and soul of actors that bring them to life. And as the last chapter is written do we watch Stephen Dorff become the man ready to risk all for everything he believes, for everyone he loves.
