1. What is your screenplay about?

Mental Hygiene and Dental Hygiene. It's about men and how they deal with the loss of wives, mothers and teeth.

2. Why did you decide to write this screenplay?

It started as a short story (many years ago) and was partly inspired by a patient I knew from my days working at a mental hospital.

3. How long have you been writing screenplays?

20 years - working mostly in television.

4. What is you all-time favorite film? (name only one)

8 1/2

5. What artist in the film industry would you love to work with?

Amy Sedaris because she's very funny and I hear she's single.

6. How many screenplays have you written?

Four or five for film - more than a hundred for tv. (a guess)

7. Ideally, where would you like to be in 5 years?

Above the ground. If I am above the ground I would like to be making a film.

8. Describe your process; do you have a set routine, method for writing?

I procrastinate until I am so ashamed of myself I can't go outside.

9. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

My robot vacuum.

10. What influenced you to enter the WILDsound Script Contest?

I was going to submit my short film. Then I noticed the screenplay contest and I became influenced.

11. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?

One way is to make a lot of mistakes in your life. Then you'll have a lot of painful personal experience to draw from. But that's only one way.
