Daryl Polycrates is an aspiring screenwriter and comedy writer living in Southern California.
From a young age Daryl enjoyed telling stories, entertaining people, and making them laugh. In high school, he was involved with the choir, and the Regional Occupational Program for Video and Television Production.
Following high school, Daryl lost his way and worked several jobs while dabbling in community college. He worked in telemarketing, retail, clerical, management, quality control, customer service, encoding, decoding, and three different times as a delivery driver (even though he has no sense of direction)..
A few years later, Daryl needed to get back on track, so he moved up to San Francisco and went to film school. Daryl learned everything about making movies from pre-production to post-production, and worked on several student films doing everything from loading trucks, to producing. His true passion was for writing (which coincidentally required the least amount of physical labor), and he received a BFA in Screenwriting in 2008.
After seven short years of film school, Daryl is currently back in Southern California testing the waters and waiting for a bailout from the government. He is also working on a few writing projects. In his free time he enjoys listening to music, watching movies, strumming the guitar, gambling with his life, staring at the wall, deep philosophical conversations, and long walks on the beach.
