Dan Weissenberger (nee Weissenberger) was born in Melbourne, mostly likely because one word can be found within the other with relative ease. After learning to speak and emigrating to Canada, he celebrated his new life as a Canadian Citizen by entering pre-school and shedding his accent. After an unremarkable (save a hilarious lawsuit) provincially-mandated school career, Dan decided that writing was the artistic outlet to which his fancy ought be turned.
Finding novel-writing to be a financially unrewarding endeavor, he enrolled in McGill University to pursue a place in the far more lucrative field of Canadian Theatre History. It was there that he discovered a passion for screenwriting, which has occupied the vast majority of his time ever since. Working alone or with his frequent collaborator C. Ross Harrison, Dan has written some three dozen scripts across all legitimate genres (no pornography or animation, sadly), and makes a living through the selling and optioning of same. He continues to produce original screenplays at a rate that wags have likened to 'cranking out sausages'. While he doesn't object to the characterization, he'd like to remind everyone that they are all extremely delicious reads. When not writing screenplays, Dan enjoys sleeping, recumbent bicycling, and referring to himself in the third person.
