I’m Dan Seery, a fourth generation film enthusiast. I grew up watching and reading critics from a young age and have always had a serious interest in artistic journalism. While at college, I decided to devote my studies solely to cinema but I would still write little reviews or essays on films that made a strong impact on my life.
Currently I have been working on some short films and feature screenplays but haven’t had an opportunity to break into the film industry, though my screenplays did make it to the 2008 semifinals of Blue Cat and Final Draft screenplay competitions.
Most of my screenplays are highly experimental and tend to frighten away script readers under strict orders to only present screenplays with “highly marketable concepts” to make sure Cinema stays at the status quo. My reviews are honest, heartfelt, and without bias – I try to make them as interesting and entertaining as possible.
