20 years of performing sketch comedy; 8 years of improv comedy; 7 years of writing comedy screenplays; and 3 previous short film directing credits. But none of them prepared me for the challenge and the joy of directing a 35mm movie. I feel very blessed to have been selected to direct The Blacksmith and the Carpenter, which was the recipient of a grant from the Kodak 35mm Film Project.
Having the opportunity to go to Tony Curtis’s house, and joke with him in his living room as we worked on his voiceover part, was one of the highlights of my life so far.
I am working now on another comedy short, and a feature drama screenplay set in India.
I live in Flagstaff, Arizona, in a straw bale house, with my wife and our two kids: a poodle and a cockerpoo. I love cycling, horse-riding, and Indian food.
