Commentator Recap: Gotham City – It was one for the Classic Sports Channel folks. Wow. This one was quite the brutal face off and it came down to the final scorecards. However, upon audience polls, many have come to the agreement that the despite some vocal protestors, the judges got it right. 8:00 P.M. – Catwoman awaited the Big Green on a rooftop, as she swayed her whip back and forth, perched on the edge of the building. From the distance large rumblings could be heard in what sounded like footsteps. 8:03 P.M – The foot steps picked up their moment and then all of a sudden stopped. Catwoman, however, become more aware of the situation as the distant sounds ceased. As she looked around in all directions, she noticed a large object, seemingly flying through the air, high above the rooftops. The figure was aimed in her direction. She lept from one building to another. 8:07 P.M – The large object, was in fact, the Hulk, jumping an incredible distance and landing on the building Catwoman had previously perched herself on. The building was instantly obliterated. 8:09 P.M. – Hulk quickly made his way chasing down Catwoman on the city streets. It wasn’t long before he caught her and tossed her through a plate glass window.
8:13 P.M. – Catwoman was able to recover, but before long Hulk had noticed. Local police had arrived due to a building alarm being triggered from Hulk’s attacks on the building, throwing Catwoman and the several other buildings he had attacked randomly on the street. 8:17 P.M. – Catwoman and Hulk were back at it. Catwoman was able to perch herself on the back of the Hulk and wrap her whip around his neck. It did little to stop the big green machine as his skin was too strong to be restricted by the whip. The attempt to choke out the Hulk failed. 8:23 P.M. – The Hulk quickly threw Catwoman off of his back, but luckily her whip was still intact and in hand as she was able to wrap it around a near by street light and catch herself from hitting another building. 8:27 P.M. – After clearing the street of fleeing civilians, Catwoman pulled out a wildcard: Betty Ross, tied up and gagged. It didn’t take many of Catwoman’s whistles to draw the ire of the Hulk, who grew enraged as to what he was looking at. 8:31 P.M. – After wrapping the whip around Betty’s neck, Hulk was hesitant to make a move on Catwoman from such a distance. Catwoman slowly began to inch her way into a monstrous skyscraper. The Hulk soon followed. 8:53 P.M. – Still no action on the fighting front. Catwoman and Betty continued to make their way through the stairwells and through various floors, rising to the 23rd floor. Hulk, meanwhile, decided to take a different approach. After busting through the side wall, he began to climb the outside of the fire escape, easily catching up on the ladies. 8:56 – P.M. Catwoman had made it up to the 28th floor before Hulk was able to catch a glimpse of her. Instead of moving upwards with Betty, she was alone and running back to the bottom of the building. Hulk smashed through the side wall and crashed through more support beams to get to the other side of the building and catch Catwoman. 8:59 – P.M. Hulk was able to catch up with Catwoman and grabbed her before she could make it any further. The building began groaning and creaking from it’s instability. Catwoman reasoned that she had left Betty up at the top floor of a condemned building. Would he kill her to win the battle or save Betty from the risky chance of the building standing. 9:00 P.M. – Catwoman was able to make it to the bottom of the building. Hulk had let her go in order to go after Betty. FOLLOW UP – As neither contender was killed or incapacitated for longer than 3 minutes the judges were brought in to give a final vote on the victor. DECISION: CATWOMAN Judges reasoning – anyone without superpowers who can last an entire hour of fighting the Hulk wins on survival merit alone. She was also given the benefit of using intellect and investigating her opponent before the battle. Superhero Battle Rules: One hour time limit. Rendering opponent immobile for longer than 3 minutes constitutes a win. Players may forfeit at any time by discarding their weapons or removing their masks. Who will win? Stayed tuned!
