Cat BistransinSearch WILDsound  Cat Bistransin has a diverse background that includes staff positions in theatres and on newspapers. Her screenplays won the Script Shark Insider Competition and Script Savvy's Contest for February 2009. Other placements include Second Rounder in the Austin Film Festival (2009) and Finalist in The Movie Deal! (2010). Her education includes a B.A. from Penn State and an M.H. from the University of Colorado-Denver. She also completed a screenwriting certificate from NYU. Other credentials include a writing fellowship from the Pennsylvania State Arts Council. A long-time movie fan, she became interested in the silent era after a friend insisted that she read the scandal dripping "Hollywood Babylon" by Kenneth Anger, who she considers the grandfather of today's celebrity gossips. A native of Pennsylvania, she currently resides in New York City.
