Since the age of 13, he has been writing, directing, producing, shooting and editing his own short films, on his own and with long time friends. Dale strives to produce work that provokes thought, encourages dialogue between people, entertains, and builds a natural hybrid between the “grass-roots” values of filmmaking and the production quality of the cultural industry. His work focuses on topics that involve the human element; everything from the simple pause of smoking a cigarette, to the systemic roots of racism, to the imaginary world inhabited by a child. As a young dad, Dale also enjoys making up fantastical stories and playing pretend with his two boys.
