"Get To The Point" is a little romance/comedy about a guy getting the nerve to talk to a girl in a restaurant. When he does...he's more than a little forward with his words.
2. Why did you decide to write this screenplay?
I wanted to try my hand at the one page contest and needed a decent story that everyone could enjoy in that one page. The "Boy-Meets-Girl" concept is always fun to play with.
3. How long have you been writing screenplays?
About 3 years. Starting with shorts, I've moved into features.
4. What film have you seen the most in your lifetime?
Probably, "The Evil Dead."
5. What artist in the industry would you love to work with?
Sam Raimi
6. Who was your hero growing up?
My Sister
7. Ideally, where would you like to be in 5 years?
Writing and Directing feature films.
8. Describe your process; do you have a set routine, method for writing?
After I have a set plot and an idea for an ending, I immediately write the opening 15 pages. From there, the rest of the story seems to fall into place.
9. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
Music. Composing and performing.
10. What influenced you to enter the WILDsound Script Contest?
After reading the guidlines, I felt that it would be fun to write something so short, but with so much information to sell the idea. That challenge really makes a writer think on his/her feet. In the end, I figured I would try my hand at it and see what happens
11. Influence people to vote for your one page script?
Because, it's fun and I think that it is something that everyone has or will encounter in their life. Having the ability to associate with the script and what's happening will hopefully make everyone have a connection with it. For that reason, I think all can enjoy it and will hopefully vote for it!
