Brae Norwiss graduated from the film program at Vancouver Film School in 1995 and went on to work at MGM for the next ten years. He worked on such television shows as The Outer Limits, Poltergeist, Jeremiah and Stargate. As he pursued his editing career, he also fulfilled another creative passion by making 18 short films, most of which he made with his creative partners. In 2006, Brae left MGM to pursue his career as an independent editor and filmmaker.

Since leaving MGM, and outside of his own personal projects, Brae has edited three feature films and a series of trailers.Brae wrote, shot, edited and created the visual effects for a science fiction short film called “The Man From the Shed” which earned him a Director’s Guild Kickstart grant. In 2007, Brae directed his Kickstart short film, “Pappy and Speedster”, which has completed its tour of the festival circuit. Since then, Brae has been dedicated to the development of “Rudy & Roy.” In June of 2009, The Banff World Television Festival, Telefilm Canada, and NextMEDIA sent Brae and one of his creative partners on “Rudy & Roy,” Jason Schneider, to help develop strategies to aid an ailing television website. Their team won the 2009 TV360 Pitch.
