BEA C RODRIGUEZ

PODCAST - Bea C Rodriguez talks about seeing her film PRONOUNCING for the first time and how it feels to be the first winner of the One Page Screenplay Contest!

Born and raised in the Philippines, 28-year-old Bea C Rodriguez now lives in Chicago, IL, USA, where she has just resolved her quarterlife crisis and now enjoys seeing the proverbial glass half-full.

A grant writer, fundraiser, and youth development practitioner, she takes pleasure in connecting diverse assets in the community to achieve positive outcomes. She loves poetry, Samurai Champloo, and empowering disadvantaged groups.

Her favorites include her family, boyfriend, friends, red wine, sudoku, summer, traveling, puppies, board games, camping, basketball, Philippine mangoes, playing Guitar Hero and Nintendo DS, trying new things, dark chocolate, and strawberries. She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Beloit College, with degrees in English and Sociology.

She also serves on the boards of Filipino American Network-Chicago and Leadership Center for Asian Pacific Americans. Her poetry and short stories have been published in Manila. Pronouncing is her first stab at writing a screenplay. She is excited to write more.
