Commentator Recap: HELL’s KITCHEN – New York It was a hell of a battle in the early morning hours. Residents of Hell’s kitchen evacuated shortly after battle broke out between DC’s Batman and Marvel’s Daredevil. The two were evenly matched at the start of the showdown but the battle quickly tipped into one side’s favor going into the halftime. 3:00 A.M. - The Batmobile arrived in slow and silent fashion. It didn’t take long for Daredevil to make his presence known, using his advanced physical strength and a pair of martial arts kama’s to puncture the Bat’s tires. The gashes weren’t enough to stop the car as the tires immediately repaired themselves with interior patch adhesive, but were enough to draw the Dark Knight himself out onto the empty city street on foot. 3:12 A.M. - After several minutes of false leads and stray cat distractions, Batman was finally able to deduce the whereabouts of the lingering Daredevil, finding him crouched next to a Gargoyle statues above a rooftop. “Takes one to know one.” The Bat remarked after Daredevil used his billy-club grapnel to quick descend from the rooftops. Batman instinctively countered by firing his own grappling gun, meeting the Devil mid-air with collision of kicks of opposing gravity. 3:20 A.M. – After several minutes of suspended combat on the city streets, local residents began to emerge from their homes. Out of concern for their safety, Daredevil began a run away from the battle towards the back alleys of Hell’s Kitchen. Batman stayed in hot pursuit and was able to get close enough to release a few Batarangs that Daredevil was unable to avoid. 3:35 A.M. – Batman finally lost the 15 minute chase of Daredevil, succumbing to his human duration limits, losing his breath. As he took a knee to recover, Daredevil took a moment concealed in the shadows to listen in on the heartbeat pounding of Batman. Realizing this is his move, Daredevil made his approach, unleashing his billy-club’s wiring out to restrain Batman. It was success as the Dark Knight stayed kneeling on the alley pavement wrapped several times around. Daredevil approached to claim his victory for the 3 minute restraint rule. However, upon getting close Batman quickly broke loose from the coils and uppercut Daredevil to the chin in less than a blink of the eye. The devil flew through the air and landed into a garbage can, seemingly unconscious. 3:48 A.M. – Daredevil was down for about two minutes and 35 seconds before he slowly began to come to and discovered a hand gun laying next to him that had fallen out of the garbage can. Slowly inching himself back up, the Devil fired the gun into the air, proclaiming “I’m still here! You haven’t won yet.” These remarks were met several police officers enclosing on the alley 3:56 A.M. – The smoke was finally cleared to find Daredevil laying unconscious in a pool of his own blood, but still alive. A single batarang impaled his hand, leaving the gun laying on the ground next to him. 3 minutes commenced – BATMAN is your WINNER. Follow up interview with Batman following the fight was short and sweet, as expected,Snapper Carr: Batman – What do you feel was the turning point of this clash?Batman: “A gun in an alley way.” Obviously something has upset the Batman about this hand gun. We’ve confiscated the gun and had it analyzed for fingerprints at a local forensics facility to see if there was any specific reason Batman would take this into account. We’ll have more on this angle of the fight if something should arise. Superhero Battle Rules: One hour time limit. Rendering opponent immobile for longer than 3 minutes constitutes a win.
