A poem told by the Child as his vision: "The next beginning is scary like any birth, we have to jump through a burning ring of fire, a total eclipse becomes the opening of a tomb, and we can step out into the light where harmony reins once again."

The THEME of the June 2009 Film Festival was BEING HAUNTED BY THE PAST and DEATH in general. Not exactly themes that will brighten an audience even with the comedic versions of these themes. Having death in every film perhaps lead to the most polarizing event in WILDsound's 30 months young history.

Many great conversations and insights arised from the films, but a lot of unnecessary judgment talk also occurred which lead to many negative comments. This is the danger of this type of event when there is an open forum. We try to limit this but in the end it's the audiences and moderators night and they are allowed to talk however they wish. And perhaps there's more to learn with complete honesty than sugarcoating your real feelings.

It was another mixed bag of films from all over the world with all sorts of budgets, shooting formats, genres and moods.

After 26 festival nights using the FEEDBACK session, these nights continue to be unique and different every single time. No event has ever been the same.
