Alex Proyas: Born in Egypt in 1963, Proyas was educated in film and television, and started his career directing commercials and videos. Proyas’ first mainstream film was 1994’s The Crow, a commercial and critical success, but sadly notorious for the in-production death of its star, Brandon Lee. 1998’s Dark City was another cult favorite although less financially successful, while 2004’s I, Robot saw Alex enjoy box office heft. Proyas continues his sci-fi/thriller work with the current development of a Dracula project.
